Mexico YMCA Mid-Mo Marlins bring home medals and ribbons from Tom & Becky Invitational Meet held February 10-12, 2017

Seventeen Mexico Area Family YMCA Marlins swimmers competed, along with 17 teams from Illinois and Missouri with over 400 swimmers, at the Tom & Becky Swim Invitational.
Results are as follows:

Julia Goerne (5), received fourth place ribbons in the 25 butterfly and the 25 backstroke. She also received fifth place ribbons in the 50 freestyle, and the 25 freestyle.

Trey Burle (7), received a seventh place ribbon in the 25 butterfly.

Brixton Goerne (9), received a second place medal in the 200 individual medley. He also received a fifth place ribbon in the 100 butterfly; a tenth place ribbon in the 100 individual medley; an eleventh place ribbon in the 200 freestyle; and a twelfth place ribbon in the in the 100 freestyle.

Riley Thurman (12), received a fourth place ribbon in the 50 freestyle; eighth place ribbons in the 50 butterfly and the 200 individual medley; a tenth place ribbon in the 50 backstroke; and an eleventh place ribbon in the 50 breaststroke.

Drew Hibbs (13), received a second place medal in the 200 breaststroke; a fourth place ribbon in the 200 individual medley; seventh place ribbons in the 200 freestyle and the 50 freestyle; and an eleventh place ribbon in the 200 backstroke.

Antonio Fugaro (13), received tenth place ribbons in the 400 individual medley and the 50 freestyle.

Matthew Huemann (14), received second place medals in the 100 backstroke, the 100 freestyle and the 200 freestyle. He also received third place medals in the 200 backstroke, the 50 freestyle, and the 200 individual medley. He also received a fourth place ribbon in the 200 breaststroke, a sixth place ribbon in the 100 breaststroke, and a ninth place ribbon in the 200 butterfly.

Ruthie Duncan (14), received sixth place ribbons in the 100 backstroke and the 400 individual medley; a seventh place ribbon in the 100 breaststroke; and a ninth place ribbon in the 100 freestyle.

Cecilia Fugaro (14), received a seventh place ribbon in the 400 individual medley; and a twelfth place ribbon in the 200 individual medley.

Jake Bell (17), received first place medals in the 200 individual medley, the 200 breaststroke, and the 100 breaststroke. He also received a second place medal in the 50 freestyle; and a third place medal in the 100 freestyle. He also received fourth place ribbons in the 100 butterfly, and the 100 backstroke; a seventh place ribbon in the 200 butterfly, and a ninth place ribbon in the 200 backstroke.

Morghan Rowe (17), received eighth place ribbons in the 200 freestyle, and the 200 individual medley. She also received an eleventh place ribbon in the 50 freestyle, and a twelfth place ribbon in the 100 breaststroke.

Krista Burle, Abbigale Cloven, Victoria Fugaro, Avin Hernandez, Aaliyah Jaramillo, and Claire Jones swam and did their very best.
